Noriko Nakajima
中島法子
Noriko Nakajima (Nakajima Noriko 中島法子) is the sweet, cute, and possibly most "normal" girl in class 5-3 compared to some of her classmates. Unlike the others, Noriko never tries to look for trouble, but trouble constantly does seem to find her. Originally a "background character" early on (mostly found alongside her best friend Shizuka), "Noro-chan" slowly becomes one of the more prominent members of the class and a consistent target for spiritual activity. Miki in particular has a beef against her: With her cute face, shoulder-length pink hair and the second-largest bust in the class, the buxom blonde always gets upset whenever Noriko steals the spotlight away from her (consistently saying Noro-chan no kuse ni!!, or "That Noro-chan!") While she does seem docile and quiet, Noriko does occasionally unleash a wilder and more playful side (but it takes certain yōkai phenomenon to do so). She's also known as a bookworm and a rather clever tactician; once she was the key to resolving a very creepy case that involved the ghost of the school library and a series of kidnappings related to the ghost's favorite book, which incidentally was the same as Noriko's.

Ritsuko Takahashi (Ritsuko-sensei)
高橋律子(たかはし りつこ)
Head teacher of class 5-2 of Doumori Elementary, Ritsuko Takahashi (Takahashi Ritsuko, 高橋律子) is considered the madonna (term for "beautiful unmarried woman") of the school. She is very serious and dedicated to her job as a teacher, but at the same time is very edgy when it comes to the unknown, in particular the spirits and yōkai the school constantly encounters. Unfortunately, her nature is a double-edged blade for Nūbē: while her beautiful exterior makes him desire her and all the things he wants to do to her, her oversensitive nature towards the supernatural makes him tease her all the time about it...and face her wrath as a result.
At the start of the series, Ritsuko-sensei is probably the last person Nūbē would ever end up with in a relationship. Every time he tried to win her heart, she would knock him away due to being too scared of his spiritual obsessions. But as the series progresses, she slowly gains the courage to face the yōkai menaces...and as a result, slowly realizes how Nūbē is helping all those in need...and even begins to appreciate what he does both for students and all those he assists. But while her feelings slowly makes her try to become closer to the male teacher, it ends up attracting scorn from Yukime, the yuki-onna who sees herself as the one who is the teacher's true love. The love triangle between the two teachers and the spirit girl becomes a key theme in the later part of the manga, as Nūbē is forced to decide between feelings and emotions and figure out which he wants to spend his life with.

Yukime
雪姬(ゆきめ)
One of several yōkai from the mountains of northern Japan, Yukime (ゆきめ/雪姫) is a 16-year old yuki-onna whose life was complicated due to her love for Nūbē. The connection was originally made five years prior, when Nube gets lost while skiing and saves her from a hunter determined to kill her before she grows up to harm his village.
Yukime promises that she will eventually find him so they could be together "in eternal love". The meaning of this was eventually made clear when she came down to Doumori, intent on taking him home frozen in ice "for eternity". She still has a warm heart, however, so she is convinced that he shouldn't be taken to the mountains thanks to the efforts of Nūbē's students; when she tried to attack them, Nūbē tells her to leave, but she returns to work as an ice skating coach at the local skating rink and tries to win his heart.
Yukime possesses several powers and weaknesses due to her connections with snow, ice and the cold. Yukime's main ability is the creation of snow or ice from her body, using it as a means to freeze any target she can see or point at. Her freezing power is useful in offensive attacks, the creation of roadblocks to stop larger targets, and even can be used to concentrate light like a magnifying glass. (not to mention its useful for making shaved ice, which according to Nūbē is the only good thing Yukime's power is for) Yukime also possesses a slight healing ability and, due to her cold connections, has a natural talent for figure skating.
Unfortunately, being a snow yōkai has its weaknesses: she can not stand intense heat. Furthermore, Yukime can not make hot foods nor can she wear certain black clothing for fear of melting certain parts of her body. But Yukime does have a cute remedy for temperature problems: when she becomes too hot, she wraps her entire body into a snowman to cool herself down, and can drive Nūbē crazy when she pops out of it... completely naked. While many of these heat problems were eventually remedied through a revival later in the series, Yukime does occasionally still have problems with hotter temperatures.
While Yukime becomes a valuable ally and nuisance in Doumori, it is her relationship with Nūbē that drives most of her character through the series. After her first appearance, she eventually has a love/hate relationship with the teacher, with several of her attempts to get Nūbē to fall for her leading to some acknowledegment, but further frustration for both of them. Making matters worse is beautiful and ultra-sensitive Ritsuko-sensei, whom Nūbē originally desires and whom eventually begins to return some of her feelings just as Yukime is starting to get through to him.
Yukime is tricked into capturing the teacher, believing that the sacrifice of Ritsuko is needed to make her human. However she cannot kill Ritsuko through pity; it is a test to see if she still possesses a cold yuki-onna's heart. Nūbē finally saves them both, apologizing to her and admitting his love for the latter. It is too late, however, as a severely injured Yukime uses the last of her powers to help destroy the youkai and turns into snowflakes in Nūbē's arms.
While Nūbē believes her to be dead, her snowflakes are carried away to her mountains, where the Mountain god uses them to create another yuki-onna in her place, with the exact same looks and the exact same name. This Yukime, however, has a cold heart and does not hesitate to kill. Nūbē finds her during a school trip, where she tricks him away from his class in order to kill him. He allows her to attack him, but not without invoking Yukime's memories. Confused, the "new" Yukime flees.
Yukime returned to Doumori later to find closure to her conflicting feelings, and realizing she did love Nūbē, decided to stay and reconcile the two halves of herself. Although she did not remember much of her life before, it was implied that Yukime eventually recovered all of her memories. Her personality was also changed from the aggressive yuki-onna youkai to a balance between her childish former self and assertive new identity.
The last chapter of the manga features Nūbē and Yukime's Wedding, while originally in a normal Japanese wedding company's location, Nūbē was delayed by a yōkai and cannot meet the time of the ceremony. They decided to hold the ceremony with Yukime creating a chapel of ice on the playground in the primary school Nūbē teaches and instead of a catholic priest, the recurring character buddist priest in the series held the position instead.
In the anime, there was an alternate world created in Kyouko's dreams and subconscious, created by a youkai that had possessed her in her sleep. In that alternate world, Yukime had grown into a full-fledged yuki-onna and still was at Doumori, but she wasn't with Nūbē anymore since he was in a catatonic state after being almost murdered by another youkai. (note: although the chapter existed in the manga, Yukime was not in the original chapter since she had yet to return to Dōmori at this time)

Neon Nostrade
妮翁·諾斯拉(ネオン=ノストラード)
Neon Nostrade (ネオン=ノストラード Neon Nosutorādo) is the only daughter of the head of the Nostrade family, Light Nostrade. Neon appears in the story when Kurapika interviews for a position among her bodyguards. Neon is spoiled; she receives everything she demands by threatening to cease the use of her ability for her father's benefit. Neon is also very involved with the occult and is an avid collector of rare human flesh, such as the Scarlet Eyes of the Kurta Clan. Neon cares very little about anything else other than her collection; even the death of her head bodyguard, Dalzollene, caused her no grief.
Neon's nen ability is the power to accurately foretell a person's future in poetic verse. To do this, she needs one's name or nickname, their full date of birth, and their blood type written down on the piece of paper the fortune is to be written on. If the person is not present while she is using her Lovely Ghostwriter, a photo of the person's face is also needed. Neon does not know what she writes, as the ghost that appears on her arm writes automatically when she summons it. She is also unable to predict her own future.
Neon's predictions take the form of a poem with four or five stanzas of four lines each. Each verse represents a week of the current month, and typically events referenced in the poem are present as metaphors. If an undesirable event is predicted, the poem also includes advice on how to avoid the event.
During the events of the Yorknew story arc, Neon's ability was stolen by Chrollo Lucilfer.

Machi
瑪奇(マチ)
Machi (マチ Machi) seems to be one of the coldest members of the Phantom Troupe. Hisoka seems to have an occasional interest with her, although it's hard to see whether it's genuine, given Hisoka's unpredictability. She is incredibly loyal to Chrollo, and is one of the original Phantom Troupe members from Meteor City. Physically, she is the strongest woman in the Troupe and the sixth strongest overall.
Machi spins her aura into threads in which she uses in a variety of ways, including seaming together dislodged limbs, attaching strands to people in order to track their movement, and as a weapon. The strength of each aura thread is inversely proportional to its length; strands smaller than a millimeter can support up to one-ton in weight. Through the use of In, Machi also has the ability to make her strands invisible.

Biscuit Krueger
比司吉·酷露佳(ビスケット=クルーガー)
Biscuit Krueger (ビスケット=クルーガー Bisuketto Kurūgā) first comes into the story in Greed Island. Although she appears to be a little girl, in her true form she is actually a massive and extremely muscular woman several times the size of her preferred form. The only reason she stays in her girl form is because she claims she hates her original form's appearance. Regardless of which form she is in, Biscuit is very powerful. However, she does receive a tremendous power boost when she transforms to her real appearance. She helps Gon and Killua train while they are at Greed Island, leading them closer to the end of the game. Her goal in the game was to get the gem found only in that game, Blue Planet. She prefers to be called "Bisky." In addition, she was the teacher of Wing, the man whom first taught Nen to Gon and Killua. After the events of Greed Island, she returns to help Gon and Killua train for their battles against Knuckle and Shoot.
Using her nen, Biscuit creates an esthetician by the name of Cookie. She can give a "piano massage" that allows a person to sleep for a half hour and feel as if he/she had a full eight hours of sleep. While this ability hasn't been shown useful to actual combat, it can really impact training speeds and allow more time to get it completed. Cookie is also capable of a wide array of other massage techniques that will, among other things, restore health to skin, release muscle tension, and relieve arthritis.

Ponzu
彭絲(ポンズ)
Ponzu (ポンズ Ponzu) was one of the 24 that managed to enter the fourth stage of the Hunter Exam. Ponzu's secret weapon lies within her round cap, carrying neurotoxic bees under the surface that emerge and attack her enemies when threatened. During the fourth stage, her bees accidentally end up killing Bourbon after falling into his trap. Ponzu is rescued by Gon, but her badge is taken by Leorio when she is unconscious, causing her to fail the exam. She was examinee #246 during the Hunter Exam.
Ponzu later accompanies Pokkle a year later to the NGL region on an expedition. Their group learns of the dangers of the chimera ants and attempt to warn the outside world. However, before they get the chance Zazan's squad detects them and Ponzu is the only one able to escape. She runs only far enough to send a bee with a warning to the strongest hunter nearby, who happens to be Kite. She is killed moments later by an officer from Zazan's squad.

Menchi
門淇(メンチ)
One of the two examiners for the second stage of the Hunter exam, along with Buhara. Menchi is picky when it comes to food, but it fits her profession very well as she is one of the world's best Gourmet Hunters. Coupled with Menchi's sensitive and highly selective sense of taste and culinary skills is a physically fit body that enables her to carry out the search of unique foods and culinary experiences, many times in dangerous places. She obtained her Single Star Hunter License at the age of 21.
Menchi was one of the two judges that presided over the second stage of the Exam. Her exam topic was to prepare a piece of sushi for her to taste. If it met up to her stringent expectations, the candidate would pass. However, the test did not quite go as planned, as everyone but Hanzo was baffled as to what sushi actually was. He accidentally spills the information to the rest of the group, though this does not do much good. Each character proceeded to deliver their idea of "sushi" to Menchi, only to have it rejected. Thus, none of the candidates passed at first. However, Netero later comes and convinces her to give the candidates another chance since the challenge was rather unfair ( mostly due to her stubborn nature, Menchi didn't even taste most of the samples given to her due to their shapes). Thus her test was changed to simply boiling an egg, after retrieving it from the web of a spider eagle, which hung from the walls of a mile deep canyon.

Shizuku
小滴(シズク)
Shizuku (シズク Shizuku) is extremely forgetful. If she forgets something, she will never remember it no matter how others may try to remind her. She can be an airhead at times which, along with her unassuming appearance, can cause her opponents to underestimate her combat abilities. Shizuku is also left-handed, and the twelfth physically strongest out of the 13 members of the Troupe. Shizuku is the eighth member in the Phantom Troupe, a replacement for the last member since the Troupe came together.
Shizuku uses her nen to conjure a vacuum cleaner, Blinky, able to suck up any non-living object. This has proven very useful in many occasions for cleaning up evidence that the members leave behind during a job, namely corpses. Objects made from Nen also cannot be consumed, allowing her to detect traps. In combat, Shizuku uses the vacuum as a club, with the teeth on the mouth of the vacuum capable of causing wounds. During a fight with the chimera ant Pike, Shizuka is also shown using Blinky to suck steams of blood from the chimera ant's wounds, exsanguinating him. No object consumed by Blinky can be retrieved except for the very last object sucked in. No one knows where the sucked up items go, not even Shizuku herself.

Azusa Shiratori
白鳥梓
Azusa Shiratori and Mikado Sanzenin are a pair of martial-arts-ice-skaters known as The Golden Pair. Azusa is very immature. Often, when she finds cute things, she gives them equally cute names and takes them home, even if they clearly don't belong to her. She meets any person attempting to stop her from doing so with violence. Mikado, her partner and classic playboy, in particular is often to target of her assaults with blunt objects.
Azusa comes into conflict with Akane by apprehending the latter's pet piglet P-chan, and renaming it to Charlotte. When Akane wants it back, Azusa challenges her to a match to determine the rightful owner. Mikado earnes a corresponding challenge from Ranma by trying to steal a kiss from Akane's lips, and later earnes his full fury, by kissing Ranma's female form. Despite Ranma's lack of skating skill, Mikado is narrowly bested in personal combat during a fight on skates. The official showdown, called the Charlotte Cup, turnes into a long, hard, three-way battle between The Golden Pair and their frequently distracted and shifting opponents Ranma, Akane and Ryoga.
In the manga, they only appear once, but they have a cameo appearance in the first movie. And Azusa has an additional appearance in an episode of the TV series. There she takes Tatewaki and Sasuke as two of her cute playthings.

Hinako Ninomiya
二宮雛子(二ノ宮 ひな子(にのみや ひなこ)
Hinako Ninomiya (二ノ宮 ひな子 Ninomiya Hinako) is a teacher hired by Principal Kuno for the purpose of disciplining Furinkan's many delinquent students, particularly Ranma. She has a reputation for being a very successful reformer, though her child-like body causes surprise. She was very sickly as a child, and while in the hospital, Happosai rearranged her metabolism to allow her to absorb the auras of others to increase her health, though his reason for doing so was to allow him to escape enraged nurses, whose panties he had stolen, by having her absorb their auras. Her body ages much more slowly than other people due to the altered metabolism, so she still has the body of a child despite being an adult. She is voiced by Yumi Tōma in the anime adaptation, and by Janyse Jaud in the English adaptation.
After absorbing a person's aura, her body becomes that of an adult, and she can then fire the energy back at her opponent, though she also returns to her actual form. The ability can be countered by pressing five specific pressure points, and it can be removed by doing so every day for a month, though the action makes the attacker look like a molester, as it forces them to grab her left breast, so Ranma gives up on the idea. While in her child form, she generally acts very spastic, childish and immature, and in her adult form, she acts like an elegant, confident, and somewhat vain adult woman, though either form always enjoys sweets, attractions, and video games, eats like a slob, and doesn't properly take care of her apartment.
Hinako is obsessed with enforcing discipline and justice at Furinkan, and she will do so at any moment if she feels someone is being a delinquent. Her primary target in this endeavor has been Ranma, whom she wishes to take care of so that everyone else will fall in line. Even so, her dedication to teaching also means she wants him to succeed in her classes, and has made an effort to help him with his studies. She is in love with Soun Tendo, and despite his rejection, she is always in pursuit to marry him.

Shampoo
珊璞(シャンプー)
Shampoo (珊璞 Shānpú, or シャンプー Shanpū) is the village champion of the Chinese Amazons, who is defeated by Ranma in his male and female forms. The laws of her village force her to attempt to kill Ranma's female form and marry his male form. She eventually learns that he is cursed, and focuses on marrying him. She trains under her great-grandmother, Cologne, and eventually obtains a curse that turns her into a cat, which doesn't help with Ranma, who has a phobia of them. She helps run the Cate Cafe with Cologne, and often delivers food. She is actively pursued by Mousse, but she generally shows nothing but disdain for him. She is voiced by Rei Sakuma in the Japanese anime and by Cathy Weseluck in the English dub.
Shampoo speaks with a simplified mode of speech, most notably rapidly switching between ignoring and using personal pronouns, because of having a limited amount of time to learn the Japanese language. She is described as "innocent and aggressive", being very affectionate and cheerful, while also being very devious and forceful, willing to force Ranma into loving her. She is very vengeful as well, and she is willing to kill anyone to further her goals or remove obstacles. She has very little modesty, and attempts to use nudity to seduce Ranma in public places. Shampoo is highly skilled in unarmed combat, particularly involving speed and acrobatics, and is strong enough to casually walk through stone walls on a regular basis. She uses a pair of "chúi" as her primary weapons.
